About New Pictures
New Pictures was established by Charlie Pattinson, Elaine Pyke, Willow Grylls and Richard Nelson in April 2013 to produce television drama for all markets.
In the first year of operation, New Pictures was greenlit for production on two series: The Missing for BBC1 and Starz and Indian Summers for Channel 4 and WGBH. Both shows were ratings and critical hits across two series.
The first series of The Missing garnered an impressive array of awards nominations from the BAFTA TV Awards, Emmy Awards, Content Innovation Awards, Broadcast Awards and won two Golden Nymph Awards at the 55th Monte Carlo TV Festival for Best Miniseries and Best Actress (Frances O’Connor).
Upcoming thriller series, Rellik, and psychological and supernatural drama, Requiem, have been commissioned by BBC One and head into production in 2017.
Between them the executive team have produced or commissioned thousands of hours of award-winning drama for every major broadcaster in the UK and for HBO, Cinemax, CBS, MTV and Showtime in the USA.
In January 2016 New Pictures was sold to All3Media.
